Sunday 14 July Flight to London-Gatwick

This day started like clockwork, as we knew our flight was scheduled for 1:45 pm, we would need to be at the airport at 10am or near that. So we started at 8 am to look for the 50 bus to the SODO station of the light rail. We learned that this bus, unlike the one we took the previous afternoon, would drop us directly at the light rail SODO station, a,nd indeed it did. Purchased tickets and off to the airport. So we get there at around 10 am as planned. While waiting around for Norwegian to open Peggy discovers that she has not picked up her phone but a dead one of Karl's...PANIC. Do we have time to get back, but without a key (we left it in the house)...Then decided just to ask him to ship it and we mailed his off in the airport, since we had enough time to read a novel before plane departure, and still no Norwegian check-in people! It all worked out in the end and we got through security without much trouble. Karl and Michelle have recently remodeled their basement with the bedrooms and outside door, and it was a very comfortable stay for the parents. Apart from a 2 hour delay in the departure we had a pleasant and comfortable flight. We love flying Norwegian. This time we flew economy and we found it comfortable 787 Dreamliner journey arriving at Gatwick in the early morning. We managed without too much difficulty getting through immigration and customs. We updated our railcard and got tickets to Worcester via Reading. Our good friend John Roberts was there to take us to his flat. John showed us around his flat which he had prepared for us. All of the stuff he stored for us was already in the flat. We were so tired Walt only wanted to lay down for a nap, which he did.
